Product identity

Partners Brand THT171 is a wax/resin thermal transfer ribbon supplied in a pack of 24 rolls. It is intended for businesses that run high-volume barcode or label printers and need a reliable, consistent supply of black print media.

Print length and daily throughput

Each roll provides 1181 feet of ribbon at a 4.33 inch width, supporting extended print runs without frequent roll changes. The wax/resin formulation delivers durable black images on a variety of label stocks while keeping printer energy use and heat output at normal operating levels.

Upgrade considerations

The 24-roll pack replaces smaller cartons for operations that consume ribbon quickly and want fewer reorder cycles. Buyers who need colour output, direct thermal printing without ribbon, or a different ribbon width will not be served by this product.

Questions about this item

How do I load the 4.33" wide ribbon roll correctly so the coated side faces the printhead?

Open the printer cover, place the roll on the supply spindle with the black ink side facing outward, thread it under the printhead and onto the take-up spindle, then close the cover and run a calibration.

When should I replace a roll from the 24-pack during high-volume printing?

Replace the roll when the printer signals ribbon low or when print quality fades; each roll provides 1181 ft of wax/resin ribbon for thermal transfer printing.

What limits continuous printing before the printhead overheats with this wax/resin formulation?

The wax/resin ribbon requires higher heat than wax-only types, so extended runs may trigger the printer's thermal protection pause; allow cool-down cycles during large batches.
