Contact Proof Printer for 120 Film

The Paterson 6x6 / 120 Contact Proof Printer produces a single 10 x 8 inch sheet showing every frame from a roll. Darkroom workers use it to assess exposure and composition before committing to full-size enlargements.

Mask slots hold four strips of negatives

The mask accepts four strips covering 6 x 6 cm, 6 x 4.5 cm and 6 x 7 cm formats. No enlarger or additional carriers are required; the printer sits directly on photographic paper under a safelight.

One 36-exposure roll fits on one sheet

A complete 120 roll is contact-printed onto 20.3 x 25.4 cm paper in a single step. Larger formats or longer rolls exceeding the four-strip capacity need a different printer or multiple sheets.

Questions about this item

How many 6×6 cm frames fit on one 8×10 in proof sheet?

Four strips of negatives are held by the mask, giving a full 36-exposure roll on a single 20.3×25.4 cm sheet.

Does the printer generate heat or noise during long proofing sessions?

The unit is a passive contact frame with no lamp, motor or electronics, so it runs silently and stays at room temperature.
