Cotton watercolor paper for artists and hobbyists

This pack contains 40 sheets of 140lb hot press cotton paper measuring 7.68x5.31 inches. The smooth surface accepts pencils, ink, crayons and watercolor paints without pilling. It suits classroom projects, studio work, sketching sessions and handmade greeting cards.

Lightweight sheets handle wet media without warping

At 300 GSM the paper absorbs watercolor washes cleanly and dries flat for detailed work. The 0.33 kilogram pack is easy to store and carry to workshops or outdoor painting trips. Each sheet supports multiple erasing passes while keeping its surface intact.

Hot press finish suits fine detail and mixed media

The smooth texture lets ink lines stay sharp and prevents pigment feathering. Sheets are sized for postcards, invitations and small studies rather than large-format paintings. Buyers needing bigger sheets or rough cold press texture should choose a different format.

Questions about this item

How do I prepare the 300 gsm hot-press sheets for wet watercolor washes?

The 300 gsm cotton paper handles watercolor straight from the pad; stretch only if you plan very heavy saturation, otherwise tape the 7.68 x 5.31 inch edges to a board to keep them flat.

When will the 40-sheet pack need replacing for a daily painter?

Each of the 40 sheets is single-use; a painter completing one work per day will need a new pack after roughly six weeks of continuous use.

At what point does the hot-press surface show its limit during long painting sessions?

The smooth 300 gsm cotton resists pilling through multiple erasures, but heavy re-wetting on the same area will eventually break down the surface fibers.
