Dual Type-A and Type-C connector

The Patriot R550 is a 32 GB USB flash drive equipped with both USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and Type-C interfaces. It serves users who move files between legacy USB-A computers and modern USB-C devices such as smartphones, tablets and Macs. The dual-connector design removes the need for separate adapters or cables when switching between port types.

32 GB capacity with 100 MB/s sequential speed

Sequential read and write speeds reach up to 100 MB/s, cutting transfer time for documents, photos and video clips. The 32 GB volume holds several thousand typical office files or a few hours of high-definition footage. Larger media libraries or full system images will exceed this capacity and require a higher-capacity drive.

Plug-and-play across Windows, Linux and macOS

The drive works natively with Windows 11, 10, 8 and 7, Linux kernel 2.4 and later, and macOS 10.6 and later without extra drivers. A built-in keyhole lets the drive attach to a key ring for physical security and portability. Buyers who need hardware encryption, ruggedised casing or capacities beyond 1 TB should consider other solutions.

Questions about this item

Will the R550's USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A connector work with my Windows 7 desktop?

Yes, the drive is compatible with Windows 7 through Windows 11, so the Type-A port will function on that desktop.

How can I confirm the R550 is delivering its rated 100MB/s read speed after I plug it in?

Copy a large file to the drive and check the transfer rate in the OS copy dialog or run a benchmark tool such as CrystalDiskMark to verify performance.

Does the 32GB R550 package include a key-ring attachment or must I buy one separately?

The drive has a built-in keyhole for a key ring; the ring itself is not supplied, so you would need to provide your own.
