Apple Find My Tracker

The PBASK PinTag BR5 is a compact Bluetooth tracker that uses the Apple Find My network to locate personal items. It pairs directly with iPhone, iPad or Mac running iOS 15.0, iPadOS 15.0 or macOS 11 and later without a separate app. The CR2032 coin cell powers the device for up to 365 days and is user-replaceable. A built-in buzzer sounds on command to help retrieve the item nearby.

Network-dependent range

Positioning works only when the tracker is within Bluetooth range of any Apple device participating in the Find My network. There is no built-in GPS, cellular or satellite radio, so location updates stop in areas without nearby iPhones, iPads or Macs. Precision and refresh rate depend entirely on the density of participating devices around the lost item. The tracker cannot report its position independently.

Apple ecosystem exclusivity

The PinTag BR5 functions solely with Apple Find My; it does not support Android, Windows or third-party tracking platforms. Buyers who need cross-platform compatibility or a tracker that works outside the Apple device network cannot use this model. No alternative pairing method or standalone app is provided.

Questions about this item

What does the 1.26 x 1.26 x .31 inch size mean for everyday carry?

The tracker is roughly the size of a large coin and only .31 inch thick, so it slips into a wallet, attaches to a key-ring or tucks into a bag pocket without adding noticeable bulk.

How does the Apple Find My network deliver unlimited distance tracking?

Any nearby iPhone, iPad or Mac running iOS 15.0, iPadOS 15.0 or macOS 11 and above can anonymously relay the tag's location, giving worldwide coverage wherever Apple devices are present.

What does the CR2032 battery and 365 day standby actually cap in practice?

A single CR2032 cell powers the built-in buzzer and wireless radio for up to one year of typical use; the battery is user-replaceable, so the tracker remains functional after the first cell is depleted.
