My Little Island 2 Teachers Edition
This Pearson educational resource supports early English language learning for very young students. The Teachers Edition provides structured guidance for classroom instruction. It focuses on developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through engaging content. Fun characters and motivating stories inspire children to participate actively in lessons.
Physical media format and classroom use
The product is supplied as a physical Teachers Edition book accompanied by an ActiveTeach CD-ROM. This format requires a compatible computer with an optical drive to access the digital components. No power draw, thermal output, or noise considerations apply to the book itself. The CD-ROM functions silently when read by a standard drive during lesson preparation or delivery.
ActiveTeach CD-ROM digital resources
The bundled ActiveTeach CD-ROM adds interactive whiteboard software and multimedia assets to the printed curriculum. Teachers can project pages, play audio tracks, and display videos directly from the disc. These tools change lesson delivery by enabling whole-class engagement with digital content. The software integrates with the pupil materials for a cohesive teaching experience.

Questions about this item
How do I install the ActiveTeach CD-ROM that comes with the Teacher's Edition?
Insert the ActiveTeach CD-ROM into your computer's optical drive and follow the on-screen setup wizard to install the software onto your hard drive. The step often missed is launching the installed application from the desktop shortcut rather than trying to run it directly from the disc each time.
What maintenance or replacement will the ActiveTeach CD-ROM need over time?
The CD-ROM is a physical disc that can become scratched or degraded with repeated handling; store it in its case when not in use. If the disc becomes unreadable, you would need to contact Pearson for replacement media options as the software licence is tied to this physical product.
What is the first limit reached when using the ActiveTeach CD-ROM extensively in daily lessons?
The primary limit is the requirement for a computer with a functioning optical drive to read the CD-ROM; many modern laptops lack this hardware, so sustained daily use may require an external USB DVD drive or a dedicated classroom PC with an internal drive.
