Purpose and fit
The Peco T12532-001 is a programmable thermostat for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It supports up to three heating stages and two cooling stages, making it suitable for multi-stage heat pumps or conventional furnaces with auxiliary heat. The seven-day, 5-2 and 5-1-1 scheduling options give installers flexibility for varied occupancy patterns.
Thermals noise and power
The unit operates on low-voltage control wiring and draws minimal power from the system transformer. A 12 sq in digital display with blue backlight provides clear temperature and status readouts in normal indoor lighting. Keypad lockout prevents unauthorised changes, while automatic changeover switches between heating and cooling without manual intervention.
Upgrade path
This thermostat replaces older non-programmable or single-stage controls that lack multi-stage support or flexible scheduling. The jump is worth it when the HVAC equipment uses two cooling stages or three heating stages and the installer needs programmable fan control. It does not add Wi-Fi connectivity or humidification management.
