Cheek Block for 1/4 in Fibrous Rope

This Peerless cheek pulley block is a side-mounted steel block designed for lifting and pulling tasks with fibrous rope up to 1/4 in diameter. It bolts onto a surface through a 5/32 in mounting hole and uses a single steel sheave with a sleeve bearing for operation.

Suited for light rigging and hand-line pulls

Buyers who need a rated working load limit should look elsewhere because this block is not rated. It also suits only fibrous rope, so anyone planning to run wire rope or larger diameters will need a different block.

Check rope type and mounting surface

Verify the line is fibrous rope no larger than 1/4 in and that the mounting surface accepts a 5/32 in bolt hole. The sheave inside diameter is 27/32 in, depth 11/32 in and outside diameter 1 1/8 in, so confirm the rope seats correctly in the single groove before ordering.

Questions about this item

What diameter of fibrous rope fits the 1/4 in max cable size on this cheek block?

The block accepts fibrous rope up to 1/4 in diameter, matching the 1/4 in max cable size listed for the sheave.

Will the 5/32 in mounting holes on this block align with the bolt pattern on my existing side-mount bracket?

The block uses 5/32 in mounting holes for bolt-on side mounting; compare that dimension to your bracket hole spacing before installation.

How can I confirm the sleeve bearing is turning freely after I bolt the block in place?

Rotate the 1 1/8 in outside-diameter sheave by hand; it should spin smoothly through the 11/32 in depth without binding on the steel housing.
