S.A.E. Class “S” clearance chains
These Peerless Industrial Group Quik-Grip tire chains are the only ladder-style link chains that satisfy S.A.E. Class “S” clearance requirements. They are built to NACM specifications for passenger vehicles needing low-profile traction devices. The chains fit tire diameters of 12, 13, 14 and 15 inches across the listed compatible sizes.
Reusable case and separate tighteners
Each set ships in a durable, recyclable plastic carrying case that stores the chains and includes complete installation and removal instructions. Chain tighteners are required for proper fitment and must be purchased separately, adding an extra step before the chains can be used on the road.
Compatible sizes and limits
The chains cover sizes such as 5.20-13, 5.50-12, 6.00-12, 6.15-13, 125/80-15, 145-13, 145-14 and 145/65-15. They are not recommended for snow tires or light truck applications, so buyers needing traction for those categories will need a different solution.

Questions about this item
Will the ladder-style links need replacement after a full winter season?
The chains are manufactured to NACM specifications for durability, but chain tighteners are required and must be purchased separately to maintain proper tension and reduce link wear.
What clearance limit appears first when the chains are fitted to Class S wheel wells?
These are the only ladder-style chains that meet S.A.E. Class S clearance requirements, so the factory wheel-well gap is the limiting factor rather than the chain profile.
How much road noise and vibration do the chains add during all-day highway driving?
The ladder-style link design and Class S fitment keep the chains close to the tread, but noise and vibration levels will vary with road surface, speed and the separate chain tighteners used.
