Pulley Block for 1/4" Fibrous Rope

This Peerless plate-mounted pulley block is designed for lifting and pulling tasks using 1/4-inch fibrous rope. It features a steel housing and sheave with a sleeve bearing for straightforward operation. The unit bolts onto a surface through a 5/32-inch mounting hole. It suits rigging setups where a fixed redirect point is required.

Bolt-On Installation with Single Groove

The block mounts upright using bolts through the 5/32-inch diameter hole in the steel plate. Only one sheave groove is present, so the rope path is fixed and cannot accommodate multiple lines. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and the fasteners are rated for the expected load. Misalignment or undersized bolts are the most common causes of premature wear or block movement.

1-Inch Sheave for 1/4-Inch Rope

The sheave outside diameter measures 1 inch with an inside diameter of 23/32 inch and a depth of 9/32 inch. These dimensions determine the minimum bend radius for the 1/4-inch fibrous rope. Using a larger diameter rope will not seat properly in the groove. The working load limit is not rated, so the block is not certified for overhead lifting of known weights.
