Purpose & Audience

The Pelican 1400 is a watertight hard case designed to protect cameras and sensitive electronics during transport. It suits photographers, field technicians and anyone moving gear through wet, dusty or high-impact environments.

Pre-Purchase Checks

Verify that your equipment dimensions fit within the internal cavity before ordering. Confirm the cubed foam layout matches the shapes you need, as the pre-scored cubes are removed by hand to create custom cavities. Ensure the silver colour meets any visibility or branding requirements you have.

Build Integration

The case floats in salt water with a 20 lbs (9.1 kg) load, so it can serve as a buoyant container for marine work. Its automatic pressure equalisation valve balances internal pressure during altitude changes without manual intervention. Stainless steel padlock protectors accept standard shackles for added security, while the rubber over-moulded handle allows comfortable one-handed carry.
