45-litre duffel-pack for adaptable travel

The Pelican Aegis DX45 is a 45-litre bag that converts between backpack and duffel modes, built from rugged Cordura fabric for maximum durability. It targets travellers who want a single piece of luggage that handles airport sprints, overhead bins and rough terrain without switching bags.

45-litre capacity drives packing decisions

The 45L (2746.07 cu. in) maximum volume is the single figure that determines whether this bag fits your trip length and gear list. If you need more space for extended expeditions or bulky equipment, this capacity will fall short.

Convertible straps and sternum support change

Stowable backpack straps with a sternum strap, a padded interior, a grab handle and a removable shoulder strap let you shift load distribution instantly. The system removes the fatigue of single-strap carry on long walks while keeping the bag compact when checked or stowed.

Questions about this item

How much gear can the 45L capacity actually hold for a trip?

The 45-litre volume (2746.07 cubic inches) fits several days of clothing, a laptop, toiletries and compressible outer layers in the main compartment.

How do the backpack straps and duffel strap work together on this model?

Two adjustable shoulder straps convert to backpack mode and tuck away behind a panel; a separate padded shoulder strap attaches via metal hardware for duffel carry.

What are the external dimensions so I know it fits overhead bins?

The bag uses a rugged Cordura shell with reinforced grab handles on three sides, designed to meet typical airline carry-on sizing when not overpacked.
