Purpose and audience

The Pelican Vault V100 is a multi-purpose hard case designed to protect cameras, drones, electronics and similar gear during transport and storage. It suits professionals and enthusiasts who need rugged, weather-resistant protection at an affordable price point.

Seals, weight and handling

The case is sealed against moisture and dust for confidence in harsh conditions. It weighs 3.47 lbs (1.6 kg) with the included standard-density foam installed. Heavy-duty handles and push-button latches provide secure carry and closure in normal use.

Sustained load behaviour

Crushproof high-impact polymer construction maintains structural integrity under continuous pressure or stacking. Stainless steel lock hasps resist corrosion during prolonged exposure to the elements. The foam can be cut for a customised fit that holds its shape over long periods.

Questions about this item

How do I customise the included foam for my gear, and what step is often missed?

Trace each item on the standard-density foam, cut along the lines with a sharp knife, then test-fit before removing the cut pieces — skipping the test-fit often leaves cavities too tight or loose.

What parts of the Vault V100 will need replacement after heavy field use?

The push-button latches and stainless-steel lock hasps are the only moving hardware; foam inserts can be re-cut or swapped, while the high-impact polymer shell and seal are built for the 42-year design life.

At what interior depth does the case limit what I can stack inside?

The usable interior height is 4.50 inches, so any equipment taller than that — including batteries or mounted accessories — must be laid flat or stored in a larger case.
