Rugged multi-purpose hard case

The Pelican Vault V730 is a new crushproof polymer case built to protect audio, video and tripod equipment in harsh conditions. It carries a 42-year heritage of hard-case design at an accessible price point. Sealed construction resists moisture and dust ingress. Interior foam can be cut for a custom fit around gear.

Ideal for long equipment and field kits

Photographers, videographers and survey teams carrying tripods, lighting stands or long instruments will appreciate the 44.00 x 16.00 x 6.25 inch interior. Buyers who need a compact carry-on or a lightweight daily bag should look elsewhere. The 22.07 lb weight with foam makes it a dedicated transport case, not a grab-and-go option.

Sustained environmental sealing under load

Heavy-duty handles and push-button latches stay secure when the case is fully packed to its 47.12 x 19.18 x 6.90 inch exterior. Stainless steel lock hasps maintain integrity through repeated opening cycles. The high-impact polymer shell keeps its crushproof rating after extended exposure to vibration and temperature swings.

Questions about this item

What interior length and width must my tripod or long equipment fit within to close the V730 lid?

The interior measures 44.00 inches long by 16.00 inches wide, so gear must be shorter and narrower than those dimensions.

Can the V730 sit on a shelf alongside my older 42-inch equipment cases without overhang?

The exterior is 47.12 inches long by 19.18 inches wide, so it will overhang a 42-inch shelf by about five inches.

How do I confirm the foam is holding my gear securely after I cut it?

Place the equipment in the cut cavities, close the lid, and press the push-button latches; if the foam grips each item without shifting when the case is tilted, the fit is correct.
