Size and intended use

The Perixx DX-1000L is a large mouse pad measuring 12.6 by 10.6 inches with a low 0.08 inch profile. It suits desktop and laptop users who want a single surface for both keyboard and mouse. The fabric top works with optical and laser sensors. Buyers who need a compact pad for a small desk or a secondary surface for travel will find this model too large.

Behaviour during extended sessions

The heat-treated lycra surface maintains consistent glide and tracking accuracy over long periods of rapid movement. The water-repellent coating resists moisture from spills or humidity without changing the feel of the fabric. The stitched frame prevents edge fraying that can appear after months of daily use. Users who require a hard plastic or hybrid surface for a distinctly different friction profile will not get that here.

Thermals noise and power

As a passive accessory the pad draws no power and produces no noise. The 2 mm thickness adds minimal height to the work surface and does not trap heat from the desk or laptop chassis. The rubberised base stays in place without adhesives that could leave residue. Anyone expecting active cooling, RGB lighting or USB pass-through will not find those features on this product.

Questions about this item

Does the DX-1000L get warm or use any power when left on the desk all day?

The pad has no electronics, so it produces no heat and draws no power regardless of how long it stays in place.

What must I already own for the Perixx DX-1000L to be usable?

A mouse — optical or laser — is the only required device; the fabric surface works with both sensor types.

Will the 12.6 by 10.6 inch surface still track well if I keep using an older optical mouse?

Yes, the heat-treated lycra surface is designed for reliable tracking with both older optical and modern laser mice.
