Ergonomic Gel Wrist Rest

The Perixx PERIPRO-512 is a gel-filled wrist rest designed for typists and gamers who spend long hours at a keyboard. Its curved profile supports the wrist in a neutral position to help reduce muscle strain from repetitive movements. The 17.32 x 3.94 x 1.30 inch dimensions suit full-size and split ergonomic keyboards. A textured polyurethane base keeps the pad firmly in place on any desk surface.

Upgrade from Flat Pads

This model replaces thin foam or fabric rests that compress quickly and slide during use. The four-layer interior construction combines gel, foam and rubber to maintain consistent height and firmness over time. Anti-fray stitching reinforces the edges against daily wear. The jump is worth it when wrist fatigue appears after extended sessions or when a previous rest shifts during typing.

Sustained Comfort Under Load

During continuous typing or gaming the cooling gel layer regulates surface temperature to prevent heat build-up against the skin. The foam core adapts to hand shape without bottoming out, keeping pressure distribution even across the wrist. Silicone and rubber layers retain their rebound characteristics through repeated daily use. The anti-slip base eliminates the need for frequent repositioning during intense workloads.

Questions about this item

How much desk space does the 17.32 x 3.94 inch footprint require?

The wrist rest measures 17.32 inches long by 3.94 inches wide and stands 1.30 inches high, so it needs a clear rectangular area of that size on your desk.

What surface preparation does the silicone base need before first use?

Wipe the desk clean of dust and oils so the textured PU rubber base can grip; the step people skip is leaving moisture or residue that breaks the anti-slip hold.

When should the gel cushion be replaced if the surface stays cool but loses firmness?

Replace the rest when the polyurethane foam no longer springs back after pressure, as the four interior layers are not serviceable and the anti-fray stitching cannot be repaired.
