The Perle 05090030 SFP module connects 10/100Base-TX copper equipment to single-mode fibre at 100 Mbps over distances up to 20 km. It is built for industrial environments where standard commercial transceivers cannot survive.

Extreme temperature operation

Rated from -40 °C to +75 °C, the transceiver keeps links alive in traffic cabinets, pipeline monitors and outdoor sensor networks. The rugged steel housing protects the optics from vibration and thermal cycling that would destroy office-grade parts.

100 Mbps fibre distance limit

The 100Base-LX standard caps reach at 20 km on single-mode fibre; longer runs need a different wavelength or media type. Bandwidth is fixed at 100 Mbps, so the module cannot serve Gigabit or 10 Gigabit links.
