Holiday dachshund ornament

This porcelain ornament from Pet Gifts USA depicts a wire-haired dachshund in black and tan wearing a Santa hat. It measures approximately three inches in diameter and features artwork by Tamara Burnett. The piece is new and intended for seasonal display or year-round decoration. A gold-coloured thread is attached for hanging.

Gold thread for hanging

The included gold thread allows the ornament to be suspended immediately on a tree branch, hook or display stand. No additional hardware or adhesive is required to put it in place. The thread is integrated into the design so the ornament hangs straight without extra adjustment.

Porcelain construction

The ornament is made of porcelain roughly one-eighth of an inch thick, giving it a solid feel while remaining lightweight enough for standard branches. Its smooth glazed surface resists dust and can be wiped clean with a soft cloth. The material is rigid, so the piece should be stored carefully to avoid chips or cracks.

Questions about this item

Will the gold thread hold the ornament securely over multiple seasons?

The ornament hangs on a gold coloured thread that is designed for repeated seasonal use and can be replaced with any standard ornament hook if desired.

Is the porcelain surface prone to chipping if the ornament is knocked against branches?

The ornament is made of porcelain approximately 1/8 inch thick, so it can chip if struck hard; handling it gently and storing it in a padded box between seasons minimises that risk.

Does the painted design fade or discolour when the ornament is displayed near warm lights?

The watercolour artwork by Tamara Burnett is fired onto the porcelain, making the colours stable under normal indoor lighting and typical holiday display temperatures.
