Holiday Pet Ornament

This porcelain ornament from Pet Gifts USA features a golden retriever wearing a Santa hat and a banner reading "Dear Santa, Define Naughty". The artwork is based on watercolor paintings by artist Tamara Burnett. It measures approximately three inches in diameter and is one-eighth of an inch thick. The piece arrives new and hangs via an included gold-colored thread.

Tree Display Ready

The ornament requires only a branch or hook to support its lightweight porcelain body. Its thin profile allows it to sit flush against foliage without tilting forward. The attached gold thread eliminates the need for separate hooks or ribbons. This design frees up storage space since no additional hanging hardware must be kept with the decoration.

Long-Term Display Stability

Porcelain construction resists fading and warping better than paper or fabric alternatives when kept indoors. The fired surface maintains its color integrity across multiple holiday seasons without yellowing. The gold thread does not degrade as quickly as natural fibers under typical indoor conditions. The rigid shape prevents creasing or crushing that affects plush ornaments during off-season storage.

Questions about this item

How fragile is the 1/8"-thick porcelain when the ornament is handled or stored year after year?

The porcelain shell is only 1/8" thick, so it can chip or crack if dropped or packed tightly; store it in a padded box and hang it on a sturdy branch to avoid stress on the gold thread.

Does the gold-colored hanging thread stretch or degrade after weeks on a warm tree?

The thread is a decorative gold-colored filament; prolonged heat from tree lights can weaken it over time, so check the knot each season and replace the thread if it shows fraying.

What type of tree branch or hook is needed to support the 3-inch diameter ornament securely?

At roughly 3 inches across, the ornament is light enough for most standard Christmas-tree branches, but a branch at least pencil-thick or a dedicated ornament hook will hold the gold thread without bending.
