Holiday Porcelain Ornament

This porcelain ornament features a Japanese Chin wearing a Santa hat and a red banner reading "Dear Santa, Define Naughty". It displays watercolor artwork by artist Tamara Burnett. The piece measures approximately three inches in diameter and is 1/8 inch thick. It is designed for holiday display or year-round decoration.

Gift Upgrade for Pet Lovers

This ornament replaces generic holiday decorations with a breed-specific design for Japanese Chin owners. The jump is worth it when you want a keepsake that highlights a specific pet breed rather than a standard holiday motif. It serves as a personalized accent for a Christmas tree or a decorative hook.

Simple Hanging Installation

Installation consists of looping the included gold-colored thread over a branch or hook. The ornament is lightweight at its given dimensions. The main risk is the porcelain material, which can chip or shatter if dropped onto a hard surface during handling.

Not for buyers needing shatterproof materials

This item is not suited for homes where ornaments are frequently handled by young children or pets. It does not meet the need for unbreakable or soft fabric decorations. Collectors seeking plush or textile-based ornaments should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What size hook or branch can hold the 3-inch diameter porcelain ornament?

The ornament is approximately 3 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick, so any standard Christmas tree branch or ornament hook rated for lightweight decorations will support it securely.

How do I attach the gold thread loop without damaging the porcelain?

Slip the pre-tied gold coloured thread over the branch or hook; do not pull the thread through any hole in the porcelain, as the loop is already fixed and forcing it can crack the 1/8-inch thick edge.

Will the watercolour artwork by Tamara Burnett fade if the ornament is stored in sunlight?

Porcelain with fired watercolour decoration is colourfast under normal indoor light, but prolonged direct sunlight can eventually fade the red banner and Santa hat details, so store it in a dark box after the holidays.
