Northern Cardinal Porcelain Ornament

This 3-inch porcelain ornament shows a northern cardinal beside the caption 'Santa I Can Explain'. It is made in the USA from durable porcelain with a flat 2D design and comes with a gold-coloured string for hanging. The piece is intended as a holiday stocking stuffer or gift for dog lovers who appreciate a light-hearted seasonal accent.

Durable porcelain for seasonal display

Porcelain resists fading and holds its shape through repeated annual use, so the ornament looks the same each December when it comes out of storage. The flat profile distributes stress evenly across the surface, reducing the chance of cracking if the decoration is bumped while the tree is being decorated or packed away. A simple wipe with a soft cloth keeps the printed caption legible year after year.

Ready to hang with included string

The gold string is pre-attached, so the ornament can be looped over a branch immediately without tools or extra hardware. The flat back sits flush against the tree, but the porcelain body will shatter if dropped on a hard floor, so handle it over a soft surface when unpacking. Buyers who want a three-dimensional figurine or a shatterproof plastic alternative will need a different product.

Questions about this item

Does the porcelain ornament get hot or make noise when left on the tree all day?

No, the ornament is a passive 3-inch porcelain piece with no electrical parts, so it produces no heat and no sound while displayed.

What extra hardware or tools are needed to hang this ornament?

The ornament comes with a gold-coloured string already attached for hanging and tying; no additional hooks, wires or tools are required.

Will the flat 2D design sit flush against older glass ornaments on the same branch?

Yes, the thin 2D porcelain profile lies flat on a branch, so it nests easily alongside thicker vintage glass balls without crowding them.
