Philips 144774 CDM-I 25PAR38/SP/3K 25W Metal Halide Standard Bulb

Philips MasterColor 25W PAR38

The Philips MasterColor 25W is an integrated metal halide lamp combining the light source and ballast in a single PAR38 reflector. It produces 1450 lumens at 3000K with a colour rendering index of 82 Ra8. Rated lifetime is 15000 hours. Designed as a direct retrofit for halogen PAR38 lamps in accent and display lighting.

Verify PAR38 socket and mains voltage

Check that the fitting accepts a PAR38 reflector with an integrated ballast and that the supply voltage matches the lamp rating. The unit operates at a high power factor of 0.96, so circuit loading differs from conventional halogen PAR38 lamps. Confirm the fixture is rated for the heat output of a 25 watt metal halide source before installation.

Fits standard PAR38 fixtures without external gear

The all-in-one design eliminates the need for a separate remote ballast, freeing space in the luminaire and simplifying wiring. High power factor of 0.96 allows more lamps on each circuit compared to low power factor alternatives. Suitable for retail display, hospitality and residential accent lighting where halogen PAR38 lamps were previously used.
