Philips EVA 7724 100 W Halogen Bulb

This Philips EVA 7724 halogen bulb delivers 2500 lumens at 100 watts on a 12 volt supply. Its GY6.35 two-pin base fits under-cabinet, desk, boat and supermarket fixtures. The T3.5 capsule measures 1.73 inches long and 0.453 inches wide. Rated life is 2000 hours with a C-6F filament and clear finish.

Installation and handling

The GY6.35 base pushes straight into the socket without tools. Avoid touching the quartz envelope with bare fingers because oils create hot spots that shorten the 2000 hour life. Verify the fixture is rated for 100 watts and 12 volts before fitting. Ensure power is off and the lamp has cooled before replacing an old bulb.

12 volt halogen limits

The 12 volt supply requires a compatible transformer or low-voltage circuit; mains voltage will destroy the lamp instantly. Light output drops as the filament ages and the capsule blackens over the 2000 hour rating. Heat concentration in the small T3.5 envelope demands adequate fixture ventilation. The GY6.35 base is not interchangeable with G4, G6.35 or other pin spacings.
