Professional HID lamp

The Philips MSR Platinum 35 is an 800W high-intensity discharge bulb designed for professional stage, studio and entertainment lighting. It delivers 55000 lumens at a 7800K colour temperature with a CRI above 75, providing bright, cool-white output for demanding production environments.

Specialised base and orientation

The lamp requires a compatible HID fixture with the correct electrical gear and a base that matches the Platinum 35 designation. Its 750-hour rated life means scheduled replacement is routine in high-use venues, and the fixture must support the thermal load of an 800W discharge source during continuous operation.

Fixed colour and output

The 7800K colour point and >75 CRI are set by the discharge chemistry and cannot be adjusted at the fixture. Output declines gradually over the 750-hour cycle, so productions needing consistent photometric performance must plan relamping intervals around this limit.
