Philips V800 60% Layout

The Philips V800 is a 60% wired gaming keyboard with 61 keys in a black-and-white colour scheme. It uses a USB Type-C connection and a tactile key switch design that imitates mechanical feel while remaining relatively quiet. The compact layout removes the numpad to free desk space for mouse movement. Double-shot keycaps provide transparent character legends for the RGB backlighting.

Suited For

Travellers and minimal-setup users who want a portable board with a detachable cable and no separate power source. The 12 multimedia function keys and Fn-layer arrow controls cover essential shortcuts without dedicated clusters. Buyers who require a numpad, dedicated arrow keys, macro programmability, or wireless freedom should look at other form factors.

Deciding Spec

The 60% layout with 61 keys and tactile switches is the single specification that determines fit. If your workflow depends on a full numeric keypad or discrete navigation cluster, this board will not meet that need; if you prioritise a ultra-compact footprint and mechanical-style feedback, the V800 matches that requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the 60% layout with 61 keys fit on a small desk or in a laptop bag?

The ultra-compact 60% form factor omits the numpad, freeing desk space and making it easy to carry for travel or business trips.

How do I use the arrow keys on this 61-key keyboard?

Press Fn+W to toggle between WASD and dedicated arrow keys; the legends on the double-shot keycaps show the secondary functions.

Will the USB Type-C cable need replacing after heavy use?

The detachable USB Type-C cable can be swapped independently if it wears out, so the keyboard itself stays in service.
