Archival Emulsion Cleaner

Photographic Solutions PEC-12 is a waterless photographic emulsion cleaner supplied in a 2 oz bottle. It uses a blend of organic hydrocarbon solvents with a neutral pH and contains no chlorofluorocarbons or chlorinated hydrocarbons. The fluid dries instantly and leaves no residue on the surface. It meets archival requirements for long-term preservation.

Suited for film and print restoration

This cleaner removes non-water-based stains including finger oils, grease pencil marks, adhesive tape residues and mildew. It also lifts smoke and soot damage, gold foil stamp and most ball-point or permanent inks. Graphic arts users can remove wax and rubylith easily. It will not help with water-soluble contaminants or buyers who need a water-based cleaning solution.
