Photographic Solutions PEC-12 is a waterless film and print cleaner formulated for archival preservation. Since 1983 it has been used by professional photographers, labs, museums and publishers to protect valuable images. The neutral-pH hydrocarbon blend removes non-water-based stains without causing emulsion swelling. This one-quart refill supplies existing PEC-12 users with bulk fluid for ongoing conservation work.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The solvent blend evaporates instantly on contact, leaving no residue during extended cleaning sessions. Because it contains no water, repeated applications will not introduce swelling, tackiness or water marks that can degrade emulsions over time. The neutral pH and absence of chlorofluorocarbons or chlorinated hydrocarbons maintain chemical stability across long-term archival workflows.
