Modular laptop kit for Raspberry Pi

The pi-top PTIUGR200001 is a green educational kit that turns a Raspberry Pi board into a portable development laptop. It ships with an 8 GB micro SD card pre-loaded with the Polaris operating system and a suite of learning apps including Coder, Scratch, CEEDuniverse, Minecraft Pi Edition and LibreOffice. The bundle also contains an Inventor’s Kit for electronics experimentation.

Works with Raspberry Pi 3 and later boards

The kit accepts Raspberry Pi models from the Pi 3 onwards, so older Pi 1 or Pi 2 boards cannot be used. No Raspberry Pi board is included in the package, so buyers must supply their own compatible unit. The Polaris software environment is tailored to the modular hardware and the provided application set.

Raspberry Pi not included

The single specification that decides suitability is the absence of a Raspberry Pi board in the box. Buyers who want a complete, ready-to-run laptop must purchase a compatible Pi 3 or newer board separately. Builders who already own a supported Pi can start immediately with the included SD card and Inventor’s Kit.
