A 4x4 silicone keypad with addressable APA102 LEDs per key mounts a Raspberry Pi Pico on a sturdy base with rubber feet and broken-out pins
The PIM551 Pico RGB Keypad Base is a compact development board that adds a 4x4 silicone keypad with per-key APA102 addressable LEDs to a Raspberry Pi Pico. It ships with a reversible square retainer plate, M2 8 mm bolts and nuts, and four rubber feet for a stable desktop platform. All Pico pins are broken out for easy expansion with additional hardware. A Pico module and male headers are not included.
This board suits hobbyists and developers who want a plug-and-play light-up keypad for custom macros, MIDI control or interactive games such as Simon Says. It is not for buyers who need a complete kit with the Pico and headers already fitted, nor for projects that require wireless connectivity or onboard audio. Builders needing more than sixteen keys should look at larger matrices.
Each key integrates an APA102 LED, giving full individual colour control directly from the attached Pico. This single spec decides whether the board meets the visual-feedback needs of your project.

The base is powered through the Pico's USB connection, so sustained use draws from the host computer or USB supply attached to the Pico.
The board itself has no fan or active cooling; only the APA102 LEDs and the Pico produce a small amount of warmth during extended use.
A Raspberry Pi Pico with male headers soldered pointing downwards is needed; the Pico is not included with the keypad base.
