What it is

The PIODATA iXflash Cube is a 1TB USB flash drive built for iPhone and iPad owners who want automatic photo and video backup while the device charges. It connects via USB Type‑C and is Apple MFi certified for reliable compatibility.

Practical limits

Backup runs only when the iOS device is plugged into the Cube and, for iCloud‑stored media, when Wi‑Fi is available. The drive does not back up other file types, and it cannot operate without the companion iXflash Cube app installed on the iPhone or iPad.

Who it replaces and when to step up

It replaces manual computer syncs or cloud‑only strategies for users who prefer a local, offline copy of their camera roll. The jump is worth it if you regularly charge your iPhone or iPad and want every new photo and video duplicated automatically without starting a separate transfer each time.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 1 TB iXflash Cube for my iPhone library?

The 1 TB capacity gives you ample space for years of photos and videos from multiple iPhones or iPads, and the app creates separate folders for each user so libraries stay organised.

How does the “backup while charging” claim work in daily use?

Plug the Cube into a USB-C power source, connect your iPhone or iPad, and the app automatically copies every new photo and video — including iCloud items when Wi-Fi is on — without duplicating files already stored.

What does the USB-C with Quick Charge interface actually deliver?

The USB-C port provides power delivery fast enough to charge an iPhone or iPad at full speed while the backup runs, so you do not lose charging time during the transfer.
