Ultra-wide lens for Micro Four Thirds

The Pioneer Photo Albums 10mm f/2 Zero-D is a prime lens built for Micro Four Thirds cameras. Its 96° angle of view suits landscape, architecture and astrophotography work. The f/2 aperture supports low-light shooting and shallow depth of field. At 125g it adds minimal weight to a travel kit.

Optical limits of the design

The 11 elements in 7 groups are arranged to keep distortion near zero, a practical limit for ultra-wide optics on this format. The f/2 maximum aperture sets the boundary for low-light exposure and subject separation. The 96° field of view defines the widest scene the lens can capture without cropping.

Upgrade from kit zooms or slower primes

This lens replaces variable-aperture zooms that start at f/3.5 or slower at the wide end. The jump is worth it when you need consistent f/2 brightness across the frame and distortion control for straight architectural lines. Photographers who need autofocus or a wider focal range will not be served by this manual-focus prime.
