Wii DVD drive replacement kit

This PISKEKAT kit supplies a complete DVD drive assembly compatible with every Nintendo Wii model, including D4, D3-2, D2A, D2B, D2C, D2E and DMS revisions. Three coloured opening tools are included so you can dismantle the console without sourcing separate screwdrivers. It is intended for owners whose original drive has failed or become unreliable. Builders wanting a different optical format or external USB solution will not find that here.

Sustained read reliability

The replacement drive is built to match the original unit’s laser and motor specifications, delivering consistent disc-read performance during extended play sessions. Heat generated by the mechanism remains within the console’s stock thermal envelope, so no additional cooling is required. The bundled opening tools are single-use plastic pieces; they withstand the initial teardown but are not rated for repeated disassembly. Users planning frequent drive swaps should acquire metal spudgers separately.

Questions about this item

How much power does the PISKEKAT DVD drive draw while running all day in a Nintendo Wii?

The replacement drive operates from the Wii's internal power supply, so it adds no extra power draw beyond the console's normal rated consumption.

What tools must I already own to install this drive in my Wii?

The kit includes three opening tools, so no additional screwdrivers or pry tools are required for the installation.
