Direct Drive Extruder Kit for Ender 3 Series

The Sprite Extruder Pro Kit upgrades Creality Ender-3 series printers with an all-metal direct drive extruder and hotend. It includes a short cable for BL Touch or CR Touch connection and enables printing of flexible filaments such as TPU, PLA and PETG. Firmware for the upgrade is available from the manufacturer's website.

3.5:1 Gear Ratio and 80 N Extrusion Force

Dual toothed gears with a 3.5:1 ratio deliver up to 80 N of pushing force for stable, precise filament feeding without damaging the material. The compact assembly measures 54 by 50 by 64.3 mm and weighs 288 g, supporting both direct and Bowden configurations. It handles PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU and other flexible filaments at temperatures up to 300 °C.

300 °C All-Metal Hotend Limit

The all-metal hotend reaches 300 °C, which is the practical ceiling for standard thermistor-based temperature control and PTFE-free heat breaks. Beyond this point thermal creep and sensor accuracy typically degrade, requiring specialised high-temperature components not included in this kit. Dual fans with metal covers provide active cooling to maintain stable extrusion at the upper end of this range.
