Compact USB-C Ethernet Adapter
The PISKEKAT adapter adds a 1Gbps RJ45 port to laptops, tablets and phones that only have USB-C. It works with MacBook Pro and Air models from 2017 to 2023, iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, iPad Pro, Dell XPS 13, 15 and 17, Surface Book 2, Google Pixelbook and recent Chromebooks. Driver-free operation means it is ready as soon as you plug it in.
Thermal and Power Behaviour
Premium aluminium casing dissipates heat during sustained transfers so the adapter stays cool without a fan. The braided nylon cable and snug USB-C connector maintain a stable link even when the host device is moved. Power is drawn directly from the USB-C port with no external supply required.
Build Integration
The slim profile sits alongside neighbouring USB-C ports without blocking them, leaving room for other peripherals. Thunderbolt 3 and 4 compatibility means the same dongle works on high-bandwidth docks and direct laptop ports. CAT6 or better Ethernet cable is needed to reach the full 1Gbps rate; slower cables fall back to 100Mbps or 10Mbps automatically. Buyers who need multi-gigabit speeds or a second RJ45 port should look at a dedicated dock instead.

Questions about this item
How do I install the adapter so the USB-C connector seats fully without blocking the port next to it?
Plug the USB-C end straight in until it clicks; the slim aluminium housing and non-slip grip are shaped to clear adjacent ports on MacBook Pro 16, XPS 15 and similar models.
What part will need attention first after months of daily plugging and unplugging?
The braided nylon cable resists fraying, but the USB-C connector pins are the only moving electrical contact; inspect them periodically for dust or bent pins.
What limits sustained throughput when I run large transfers for hours?
The aluminium casing dissipates heat, yet the 1Gbps RJ45 link and CAT6-or-better cable remain the hard ceiling; speeds will not exceed 1Gbps.
