27 inch Fast IPS gaming monitor

The Pixio PX279 Wave in mint green is a 27 inch Fast IPS panel built for competitive play. It targets players who value high refresh rates and low response times over higher pixel counts. The frameless three sided design suits multi monitor arrays.

DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 both reach 240Hz

The monitor delivers its full 240Hz refresh rate over either DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.0, so cable choice does not limit frame rate. Adaptive Sync operates across both inputs to match GPU output without tearing. Digital video compatibility is the only signal type supported.

1ms GTG response time decides suitability

A 1ms grey to grey response time is the single figure that determines whether motion stays clean in fast titles. At 1920 by 1080 resolution the panel covers 110.26 percent sRGB, 93.5 percent DCI-P3 and 85.95 percent NTSC with 350 cd/m2 brightness and 1000:1 contrast. Buyers who need higher resolution or HDR brightness should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will 240Hz work over both DisplayPort and HDMI?

Yes, the panel reaches 240Hz via DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0, so either cable can deliver the full refresh rate.

Does the 1ms response time mean zero ghosting in fast shooters?

The 1ms GTG rating removes most visible ghosting; combined with 240Hz and Adaptive Sync it keeps motion clear in competitive titles.

Is the mint-green cabinet purely cosmetic or does it affect screen performance?

The green finish is only on the chassis and stand; the 27-inch Fast IPS panel still covers 110.26% sRGB and 93.5% DCI-P3 for accurate colour.
