Pixio PX27U Wave Mint Green 27" 4K Gaming Monitor

The Pixio PX27U Wave delivers 4K UHD resolution at 3840 x 2160 on a 27 inch Fast IPS panel with a 160Hz refresh rate. It covers 99.5% DCI-P3 and 121.76% sRGB colour gamuts for accurate colour work. A mint green cabinet with a 3-sided frameless bezel distinguishes the design. Adaptive Sync support keeps gameplay smooth across compatible graphics cards.

Thermals noise and power draw

The LED backlight reaches 400 cd/m2 maximum brightness with a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Fast IPS technology maintains consistent colour at 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles. The 1ms GTG response time reduces ghosting without relying on aggressive overdrive that can increase panel heat. No fan is present so operation stays silent during extended sessions.

160Hz over DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1

Both DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 inputs support the full 160Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution. This dual-interface capability decides whether the monitor fits a mixed GPU setup or a console plus PC desk. VESA 75mm mounting is native and a 100mm adapter is included for arm or wall installation. Tilt adjustment is the only ergonomic movement provided.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 27 inch Fast IPS panel on a 75 mm VESA arm without stripping the recessed holes?

Remove the stand by unscrewing the four M4 bolts, then attach the included 100 mm adapter plate to the monitor first; the adapter bridges to standard 75 mm arms and spreads the load so the plastic threads do not strip.

Will the anti-glare coating on the 3840 x 2160 screen degrade if I clean it weekly with a microfibre cloth?

The coating is bonded to the Fast IPS substrate and tolerates gentle dry wiping; avoid liquids with ammonia or alcohol, and the 178 degree viewing angles stay consistent for the panel's rated lifetime.

At what point does the 400 cd/m2 brightness limit HDR highlight detail during long sessions?

Sustained full-screen white clamps to roughly 400 nits, so specular highlights above that level compress; the 1000:1 contrast ratio remains stable, but peak HDR brightness cannot exceed the panel's maximum output.
