Precision Brewing Presets

The Plaman PL-1501CT thermo pot holds 1.7 liters and runs at 1500 watts. Six one-touch presets deliver exact temperatures of 212, 200, 190, 185, 175 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit. The keep-warm function maintains the selected temperature for four hours with automatic reheating. A safety reset activates if the pot is lifted for more than thirty seconds.

Ideal For Tea And Coffee Drinkers

Suits anyone who wants repeatable water temperatures for different tea varieties, French press or pour-over coffee without a separate thermometer. Not for buyers who need a programmable hold time longer than four hours or a larger capacity for big gatherings. The fixed presets also limit users who prefer arbitrary degree-by-degree adjustment.

Cool-Touch Double Wall Safety

A borosilicate glass inner chamber is wrapped in a BPA-free polycarbonate shell that stays below 140 degrees Fahrenheit during boiling. Water contacts only glass, 304 stainless steel and certified BPA-free polypropylene. Triple protection includes automatic shut-off, boil-dry prevention and overheat safeguards. The unit weighs 1.742 kilograms and measures 8.77 by 7.99 by 10.15 inches.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1.7 litre model or a smaller capacity for my household?

The 1.7 litre capacity delivers up to eight cups per boil, matching the full preset range from 160 °F to 212 °F. A smaller pot would limit batch size for meetings or hosting.

How quickly does the 1500 watt element heat a full 1.7 litre pot in daily use?

A full 1.7 litre fill reaches boiling in roughly seven minutes, while one litre takes about four minutes, so morning coffee or tea is ready during a short prep window.

What does the cool-touch exterior rated below 140 °F mean for safety around children?

The double-wall construction keeps the outer shell under 140 °F even at the 212 °F preset, preventing burns if small hands brush the kettle while it operates.
