23.8-inch Full HD touchscreen monitor

The Planar Helium PCT2435 is a 23.8-inch projected capacitive touchscreen monitor with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. It supports 10-point touch input via a USB interface. The display uses an IPS panel with LED backlighting and includes built-in 2 watt speakers. It is suited for interactive kiosks, point-of-sale systems or collaborative workspaces needing touch capability.

Connectivity and interface limits

Video inputs are limited to one VGA and one HDMI port, while touch data travels over a USB 3.0 Type-A to Type-B link. The USB connection also serves a built-in hub for peripheral pass-through. No DisplayPort or USB-C video alternate mode is provided, so newer laptops may require an adapter. The 14ms response time and 60Hz refresh rate are adequate for office tasks but not for fast motion.

Projected capacitive 10-point touch

The defining specification is the projected capacitive layer enabling 10 simultaneous touch points. This technology requires a USB link to the host for touch calibration and data. Buyers needing a non-touch display, a higher refresh rate, USB-C video input or a lighter panel for frequent transport should consider other options.
