24-inch IPS Full HD Monitor

The Planar PXN2480MW is a 24-inch widescreen monitor with a 23.8-inch viewable area. It uses an IPS panel to deliver a 1920 x 1080 resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate. The 16:9 display suits office work, general computing and multi-monitor setups. It is not aimed at buyers who need higher refresh rates or resolutions beyond Full HD.

Capacity and Headroom

The screen shows 16.7 million colours at 250 cd/m2 brightness with a 1000:1 contrast ratio. A 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angle keeps colour consistent from wide positions. A 7ms grey-to-grey response time handles typical video and productivity tasks. Competitive gamers or colour-critical professionals will find the 60Hz limit and standard contrast insufficient.

Connectivity and Mounting

Video inputs include D-Sub, HDMI and DisplayPort for analogue and digital sources. Integrated TrueMedia speakers add basic audio without extra hardware. A 100mm VESA pattern allows wall or arm mounting with the external power supply. The fixed stand only tilts from -5 to +20 degrees, so users needing height, swivel or pivot adjustment must buy a separate mount.

Questions about this item

Will the 24 inch Planar PXN2480MW work with an older PC that only has a VGA output?

Yes, the monitor includes a D-Sub connector for analog RGB input alongside HDMI and DisplayPort, so a legacy VGA source can connect directly without an adapter.

How can I verify the IPS panel is delivering the specified 178 degree viewing angles after setup?

View the screen from extreme side and top positions; colors and contrast should remain stable with no visible shift, matching the 178° horizontal and vertical rating.

Does the 998-0410-00 come with the video cables needed for HDMI and DisplayPort, or must they be purchased separately?

The supplied accessories are not detailed in the available specifications, so check the retailer's bundle description or contact the seller to confirm which cables are included.
