Web-smart Layer 2 switch with eight 10/100 PoE+ ports and two Gigabit combo uplinks, 125 W power budget
The PLANET FGSD-1008HPS is an 8-port 10/100BASE-TX web smart switch with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ on every copper port. Two additional combo ports provide 10/100/1000BASE-T or SFP uplink flexibility. It suits small businesses deploying IP cameras, VoIP phones or wireless access points that need both data and power over a single cable.
The switch delivers a total PoE budget of 125 watts with a maximum of 30.8 watts per port, so verify that the combined draw of your powered devices stays within that limit. Uplink ports 9 and 10 share SFP slots with the RJ45 connectors; confirm whether you need copper or fibre modules and that your SFP transceivers match the 1000BASE-X standard. The unit requires a 100–240V AC supply and consumes up to 150 watts.
This model fits installers who need managed Layer 2 features such as VLAN, QoS, port mirroring and MAC binding on a Fast Ethernet access layer. It is not for networks that require 10/100/1000 speeds on all access ports or a larger PoE budget for many high-power devices. Buyers needing full Gigabit to every endpoint or a higher total power envelope should look at switches with those specifications.

The switch provides two 1000BASE-X SFP slots shared with ports 9 and 10; SFP transceivers are not included and must be bought separately.
Ports 1 to 8 run at 10/100 Mbps with up to 30.8 W PoE each; ports 9 and 10 are 10/100/1000BASE-T or SFP and carry no PoE, so use them for uplinks.
The 125 W budget is shared across all eight PoE ports; each port can deliver up to 30.8 W, but the total simultaneous draw cannot exceed 125 W.
