Desktop switch with four PoE+ ports, a 55 W budget, two uplink ports and port-based VLAN loop protection
The PLANET GSD-604HP is a new desktop switch with six Gigabit RJ45 ports. Four ports deliver IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ power with a 55-watt total budget and up to 30 watts per port. Two additional uplink ports provide standard Gigabit connectivity for network expansion.
This smart switch suits IP surveillance projects that require port-based VLAN and loop protection to stop broadcast storms between cameras. It is not for networks that need Layer 3 routing, full management features such as SNMP or CLI, or fibre uplink interfaces.
The compact fanless chassis runs silently on a desk or in a wall box and needs only a single power cable. It frees up AC outlets by powering up to four PoE devices over existing Cat5e or Cat6 cables up to 100 metres. Jumbo frames up to 9.6 KB and an 8K MAC table support high-throughput traffic.
Measured against everything we stock in Ethernet & PoE Switches, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

The switch includes an internal power supply and connects directly to a mains outlet; no external brick is required.
Yes, each RJ45 port auto-negotiates 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps, so legacy cameras and a gigabit NVR operate together without configuration.
The unit auto-detects powered devices and supplies up to 30 watts per PoE port; a successful link and powered camera confirm operation.
