The PLANET ISW-501T is an unmanaged Layer 2 switch with five RJ45 ports that run at 10/100Mbps. It is built for industrial cabinets and outdoor enclosures where commercial gear would fail. The IP30-rated metal housing mounts on DIN rail or wall brackets. Operating temperature spans -40 to 75 degrees Celsius.

Port speed and uplink constraint

Every port is limited to 100Mbps full duplex with IEEE 802.3x flow control. There is no Gigabit uplink and no SFP slot, so the switch cannot feed a faster backbone. The 1K MAC table and 448K-bit buffer suit small device clusters such as IP cameras or PLCs. Buyers needing a Gigabit uplink must choose a different model.

DIN rail or wall mount with dual DC input

The slim case fits tight cabinets and secures with standard DIN clips or wall screws. Power accepts 12 to 48V DC on two redundant terminals with reverse-polarity protection and also supports 24V AC. A common error is wiring only one supply and losing redundancy. The terminal block uses screw contacts; ferrules are recommended for vibration resistance.
