Managed 8-port gigabit switch with VLAN, QoS and LACP for industrial temperature ranges
The PLANET WGS-4215-8T is an 8-port Gigabit switch built for harsh environments. It operates from -40 to 75 degrees C and mounts on a wall. Managed Layer 2 features suit industrial automation, surveillance or outdoor networking where temperature extremes rule out standard office gear.
Wall-mount brackets are included for direct surface fixing. Eight RJ45 ports auto-negotiate 10/100/1000 Mbps with IEEE 802.3x flow control. The command-line interface requires networking knowledge; misconfigured VLANs or spanning-tree settings are the main cause of traffic loops. Jumbo frames up to 10KB must be enabled globally and on each port.
The operating range of -40 to 75 degrees C is the decisive figure. If the cabinet or outdoor enclosure stays within commercial 0 to 40 degrees C, a cheaper unmanaged switch will work. Buyers who need PoE power on the copper ports, SFP fibre uplinks or Layer 3 routing must choose a different model.

Check the front-panel LEDs: a solid green Power LED means the unit is on; each RJ45 port shows orange for 10/100 link/activity and green for 1000 link/activity.
The switch ships with the wall-mountable chassis and 8 RJ45 ports ready for copper cables; you supply the Ethernet patch cords and any SFP modules for fibre uplinks.
The single model listed operates across the full -40 to 75 °C range, so no alternate temperature-rated version exists to select.
