Industrial Gigabit Switch with 4-Port PoE+

The PLANET WGS-804HP is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch with four PoE+ ports delivering a total power budget of 120 watts. It features a smart management layer, an 8K MAC address table with auto learning and 1MB buffer memory. The rugged IP30 metal housing supports wall or DIN rail mounting for industrial environments.

Verify PoE Budget and Mounting Space

Confirm that the 120-watt total PoE budget covers the combined draw of all powered devices you plan to connect. Ensure the installation location accommodates the wall-mounted or DIN rail form factor and operates within the -10 to 60 degrees C temperature range. Check that smart management features meet your network configuration requirements.

Suits Industrial PoE Deployments

This switch suits installers needing a compact, rugged switch for IP cameras, wireless access points or building automation in space-limited wall enclosures. It is not for buyers who require a higher total PoE budget than 120 watts or more than four powered ports. It is not for networks that need fully managed Layer 3 routing capabilities.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what must be purchased separately?

The switch is supplied as a wall-mounted unit with IP30 metal housing and front-access ports; mounting brackets and power cord are included, while PoE-powered devices and Ethernet cables are not included.

Which PoE-capable ports should I use for devices needing up to 30 watts each?

Four ports support 802.3 af/at PoE+ with a total budget of 120 watts, so any combination of four devices drawing up to 30 watts per port can be connected simultaneously.

What does the 120-watt PoE budget mean when the switch is fully loaded?

It allows all four PoE+ ports to deliver up to 30 watts each at the same time, powering IP cameras, wireless APs or IoT gear without exceeding the switch’s total power limit.
