Platinum 25W G9 Halogen Bulb

This 25-watt halogen lamp uses a G9 bi-pin base and operates at 120 volts. It produces 230 lumens at a 2900K colour temperature with a CRI of 100. The frosted finish diffuses light for general residential and commercial fixtures.

Frosted Glass and Bi-Pin Mounting

The frosted envelope softens glare in exposed fixtures such as ceiling mounts and track heads. A G9 bi-pin base locks securely into compatible sockets without tools. Rated life reaches 2000 hours under normal cycling conditions.

Replaces 25W Incandescent G9 Lamps

This bulb directly substitutes 25-watt incandescent G9 capsules while delivering a whiter 2900K output. The upgrade is worthwhile when accurate colour rendering is required for display or task lighting. It is not suited for buyers who need dimmable LED equivalents or significantly longer lifespans.

Questions about this item

What does the G9 bi-pin base support at 120V?

The G9 bi-pin base connects directly to 120V mains supply without a transformer, capping the bulb at 25W and 230 lumens.

What fixture dimensions does this capsule need?

The compact G9 capsule fits standard G9 sockets in ceiling fixtures, track heads and showcase displays; allow clearance for the bi-pin base depth.

How is it installed and what step is often missed?

Switch off power, align the two pins with the socket holes and push straight in; the step often missed is avoiding skin contact on the quartz envelope to prevent hot spots.
