Clear Halogen Bulb for Low-Voltage Fixtures

The Platinum 35W halogen bulb operates at 12V and uses a GY6.35 bi-pin base. It produces a bright whiter light than incandescent alternatives with a colour temperature of 2900K. The lamp delivers 500 lumens and a colour rendering index of 100. It suits residential and commercial ceiling fixtures, track lighting and showcase displays.

Simple Two-Pin Installation

Installation requires aligning the two pins with the GY6.35 socket and pushing firmly until seated. The compact bi-pin design fits most standard low-voltage fixtures without tools. A common issue is touching the quartz envelope with bare fingers; oils create hot spots that shorten the 4000-hour rated life. Always handle the bulb with a clean cloth or gloves.

Steady Output Under Continuous Use

The halogen cycle maintains consistent lumen output and colour stability throughout the 4000-hour lifespan. At 35W power draw, heat builds steadily in enclosed fixtures, so adequate ventilation prevents premature failure. Unlike some technologies, light quality does not degrade noticeably during extended operation. The 100 CRI remains constant from first ignition to end of life.
