Product Identity

This downloadable expansion adds new content to the Days Gone base game on PC via Steam. It is intended for players who already own the main title and want additional story elements, gear and a survival arcade mode.

Installation Notes

Activation requires a Steam account and the base game installed; the product key is redeemed through the Steam client following the standard workflow. Common issues arise when users attempt to activate the code without first owning Days Gone or when the Steam client is not logged into the correct account.

Platform Limits

The DLC is bound to the Steam ecosystem and cannot be transferred to other storefronts or played offline without an initial online verification. Content is delivered digitally with no physical media, so a stable internet connection is needed for download and the first launch.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Broken Road DLC activated correctly on Steam after entering the code?

Open your Steam library, locate Days Gone, and check the DLC section — Broken Road should appear as installed with the Drifter Crossbow, Nitrous Upgrade #1, Gas Tank Upgrade #1, Shroud Upgrade #1, and Monkey Wrench Skill early unlocks listed.

What does the Steam code delivery include and is the base game required separately?

You receive a digital Steam code for the Broken Road DLC only; the base Days Gone game must already be owned or purchased separately on Steam to access the Horde Assault mode and early unlock items.

Which version of the DLC should I choose for the Horde Assault survival mode and early unlocks?

There is a single Broken Road DLC version — it includes the Horde Assault arcade survival mode across Cascade, Belknap, Lost Lake, and Crater Lake regions plus all five early unlock items upon purchase.
