Product identity

The Poly CS540A is a DECT 6.0 wireless headset accessory designed for office professionals who need hands-free mobility during calls. It operates on the 1920-1930 MHz band and delivers monaural audio with a noise-cancelling microphone. The convertible design supports over-the-ear, over-the-head and behind-the-head wearing styles.

Range and conferencing capacity

Users can roam up to 393.7 ft from the base station while maintaining a clear connection. The system supports conferencing up to four headsets on a single base, making it suitable for small team collaboration. Coverage extends to roughly 400 ft in typical office environments before signal quality degrades.

Remote call accessories

Adding the optional HL10 Handset Lifter or Electronic Hook Switch Cable enables remote call answer and end functions directly from the headset. Without these accessories the headset provides audio only and users must interact with the desk phone manually to control calls. The base unit includes headset audio controls for volume and mute.

Questions about this item

Will the CS540A DECT 6.0 headset work with my existing desk phone?

Yes, it connects to compatible desk phones and supports remote call control when you add the HL10 Handset Lifter or an Electronic Hook Switch Cable.

How can I confirm the headset is operating correctly after setup?

The noise-cancelling microphone should reduce background sound, and you should maintain clear audio up to 393.7 ft from the base; conferencing up to four headsets on one base also verifies link stability.

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The headset and base are included; the HL10 Handset Lifter and Electronic Hook Switch Cable for remote answering are sold separately.
