Workday Headset Fit
The Poly Blackwire 5220 is a wired stereo headset built for professionals who move between laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones throughout the day. Its supra-aural, on-ear design uses leatherette cushions over memory foam and a lightweight cushioned metal headband to stay comfortable during long conference calls. The headset folds flat for transport in the included carrying case.
Passive Noise Control
Soft conforming ear cushions provide passive noise canceling to reduce workplace distractions while the precisely tuned boom microphone masks nearby conversations. A noise-cancelling microphone ensures your voice is heard clearly without requiring active electronics or battery power. In-line controls handle call answer, end, mute and volume directly on the cable.
Multi-Device Connectivity
A USB-C cord with a tethered USB-A adapter covers PC connections while a 3.5 mm jack serves mobile or tablet devices. The detachable cable design adds flexibility and the 32 ohm impedance matches standard device outputs across platforms. No driver installation is required for basic audio and call functions on supported operating systems.

Questions about this item
How do I install the headset and which adapter step is often missed?
Plug the USB-C connector into the host; for USB-A ports, slide the tethered USB-C/A adapter onto the plug until it clicks, as the adapter is integrated and not a separate dongle.
What maintenance or replacement will the Blackwire 5220 need later?
The leatherette ear cushions wrap memory foam and can wear or tear; they are user-replaceable cushions, so order a compatible cushion kit when they degrade.
What limit appears first during sustained use of the 5220?
Continuous output at the 118 dB maximum can cause driver distortion and listener fatigue; keeping the in-line volume below full scale preserves clarity.
