120-inch BNC Coaxial Cable

The Pomona Electronics 2249-C-120 is a BNC male-to-male coaxial cable measuring 120 inches in black. It serves technicians and engineers who need a 50-ohm connection for test equipment or video signals up to 4 GHz.

Nickel-plated brass connectors and PE insulation

The nickel-plated brass connectors resist corrosion while maintaining signal integrity across the DC to 4 GHz range. PE insulation and a 20 AWG centre conductor support the 500 Vrms rating and the wide temperature span from -104 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit.

Fixed-length black cable with standard BNC ends

The 120-inch length suits bench setups where a permanent or semi-permanent link is preferred over patch cords. Builders who need a different length, a right-angle connector or a different impedance should select another model.

Questions about this item

Will the BNC connectors on this 120 in cable need periodic retightening or replacement?

The nickel-plated brass BNC connectors are built for repeated mating cycles; under normal bench use they do not require scheduled retightening or replacement.

What is the first performance limit reached when this cable carries a continuous 4 GHz signal?

Attenuation increases with frequency, so the 4 GHz upper end of the DC-to-4 GHz range is the first limit encountered during sustained wideband use.

Does the cable become warm or draw extra power when used all day at 500 Vrms?

The coaxial line is passive, so it draws no power and its temperature stays within the -104 °F to 185 °F operating window during continuous operation.
